The service
Shamela Link is an MCP server that lets your assistant read and search a copy of the Shamela library. Reading only: it writes nothing to the library and changes nothing in it.
The texts
The texts and their editorial work belong to their authors and publishers, and we claim no ownership of them. The Shamela library is a separate project and we are not connected to the people who run it. If a rights holder believes a text should not be here, write to us.
Fair use
Use it for research and study. Do not run anything on it that starves other people, do not try to break it, and do not mirror the whole library through it. The server has limits that will turn a request away politely when they fill — respect them rather than working around them.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you when we can.
No warranty
The service is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it will keep running or that its results are free of error. The server may go down for maintenance or otherwise.
More importantly: check a text against its source before you quote it in research or a ruling. These tools help you reach the text; they do not do your verifying for you.
Changes
These terms may change. A change that matters is posted on this page with its date, and registered users are told by email.
